Poem a Day December #19
Sorry to leave y’all high and dry over the holidays. As many (i.e., none) of you know, as a result of my hard living, I was recently (self) diagnosed by real (WebMD) doctors as having attention-deficit-hyperactivity-drunken-postpartum-traumatic-stress/depression disorder...or ADHD-PpTSDD. So, yeah let’s blame that for the poetry drought. Also, as a result of said disorder, I am unable to choose which version of the following haiku I prefer. Can you please pick for me?
The Breakdown
Someone said ready,
set, SNAP! And she did, passing
his head through her legs.
Someone said ready,
set, SNAP! And she did, hiking
his head through her legs.
Someone said ready,
set, SNAP! And she did, spiking
his head as she scored.
